My Travels: Paris Girl Wish List

Travels to Paris will first require a passport and identification, sturdy luggage, and a cautious mind when traveling overseas. But in addition to the obvious, it’s also necessary to start a wishful travel list that epitomizes the French girl swag. For my birthday, I will be flying to Paris for the first time EVER. You can’t see me right now, but I am sporting the biggest, cheesiest smile. Last night, I decided to curate some items that I would love to bring with me on my trip. Of course, this isn’t all a sista plans to bring (can’t forget about a new red lipstick, a pair of cute brogues, trench coat, and vintage levi’s), but here are some staples that are on my radar for France.

  1. 1. If this isn’t the cutest, well-structured box bag by MM6 Maison Margiela, then I don’t know what is. The color is suitable for any outfit and it seems boxy and roomy enough for my everyday things for a walk around town.
  2. 2. This vintage style Tee by L’ ecole Des Femmes will be very essential for my wardrobe in Paris. The price is pretty hefty ($69) but it is too dope to resist. Not only does the front say Oui (Yes in French), but the back is printed in NON (No in French). Oh yea.
  3. 3. This JORD watch ELY series made out of wood is such a cool break from the gold and silver tone watches we are used to. It’s a conversation piece for sure. You will get a better review of this watch on a separate post, so stay tuned.
  4. 4. Flirty, little black dress (LBD). Need I say more? Oh yes, I do. The price tag is only $18.00.
  5. 5. I’m still on my fringe trend kick and these sexy sandals are nothing short of fabulous.
  6. 6. An instant camera in a perfect size (Fujifilm Instax) with an array of colors is just too fun. I can take pics and get the vintage, Polaroid prints immediately. I just need to decide which color to choose.
  7. 7. Sexy lace intimates. Ooh la la.
  8. 8. A grey wide brim hat is going to be my go-to accessory for Paris. I love this affordable version.
  9. 9. I can’t wait to order this Encina bodysuit from The Reformation collection. I doubt I’ll get this nude color. I’m thinking maybe the burgundy or black. It seems so easy to wear and I can dress it up or down.
  10. 10. What’s Paris without some chic stripes? Not only does this Madewell x Sezane tee make a statement, it screams French girl.
  11. 11. My goodness, this ring. Love.
  12. 12. The denim, button down A-line mini skirts are on the rise guys. They are too adorable. Love this one from Topshop. (Cheaper versions here and here)
  13. 13. Pretty gold bangle.
  14. 14. Some white sneakers for the walks in the park and museum visits.
  15. 15. A pair of striped, wide leg trousers are just enough pizazz for a night out at dinner.

Have you been to Paris or plan to go (or live there)? What are some of your must-haves for the city of love?
