It was fairytale land at the Michael Costello runway show last Thursday. The Project Runway former contestant is known to bring alluring heat to the runway and red carpet, and his Fall/Winter line was nothing short of that. Cinderella meets Cher circa 1972-74 is the chilling vibes I received while watching afro-adorned models sashay down the runway. Bridal white lace dresses were fresh in every way and the lace details were absolutely immaculate. The color palette was simple yet sexy AF: shades of white and jet black. The designer used western-inspired belts and cowboy hats as a way to cool down the lacey and chic details of their looks. The 70’s era was most definitely a pinnacle focus in this collection – with reminiscent moments of some of the top performers and supermodels back then such as Donna Summer, Diana Ross, and Jerry Hall. I’m sure they are clapping their hands at Costello’s home run in channeling such a glam era (well if they’ve seen it.)

The Michael Costello woman this season is the enviable vixen, which could be described as the coolest chick on the planet. She is a rock and roller who takes center stage with her magnetic charisma and extravagant nature. She knows who to attract almost any eye and how to turn a cold shoulder to those who don’t understand her fire. We are telling her love story this season because when a woman with this much magic falls in love, it is a story that everyone wants to watch.
Michael Costello’s exquisite designs dominate every prestigious red carpet award show – from the Grammys to the Oscars.
