Let’s Get Mod With It

After much thought and intuition, I’ve realized that the Mod-era is about to be in full swing literally and figuratively. The time period between 1960 to 1975 seems to be on the horizon in the trend setting world right now, especially this Fall. As I usually don’t speak on what trends to follow, this here is different. This style story is gearing more towards an epic time when Twiggy was the muse of many photographers and designers, and the baby boomers came into existence – so having fun with some blocked heeled booties or a mod-style mini-skirt may just be a swell idea. Yashua Simmons, Associate Fashion Editor for ELLE Magazine, predicts the micro purse will still reign as the next big accessory and designers like Marc Jacobs and Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring 2016 collections showed off delicious looks of mod times. Even Zara’s Fall editorial (image above) is showing us how to get jiggy moddy this season and why not take this trend into spring.
