The weather is finally beautiful where I am. It rained 90% of the time for the month of May but the sun seems to be here to stay for a while, and I finally get to share a simple and easy drink recipe with you guys. Yay! A few days ago I bought watermelon juice from Trader Joes (see below) and wanted to think of a delicious concoction for it, so here is this watermelon and mint cocktail you can make for Memorial Day weekend or just for them random days. I’m no mixologist and try not to overdue things (I lie), but no seriously, I prefer to spend more time on food than drinks when it comes to hosting, so this was effortless. I used a sparkling wine but I’ve read that prosecco is also a good mix for watermelon juice. I made these drinks in my backyard yesterday and enjoyed them with some friends. You can use champagne flutes or regular short glasses, whatever you prefer. See the recipe below.
This watermelon cucumber juice is very fresh and tasty. Not too sweet and good for dehydration if you choose to drink it alone.
I blended fresh watermelon chunks in my NutriBullet and poured a little in the glass first. Afterwards, I poured the watermelon juice to about 1/3 of the glass. Top off your juice with the bubbly and throw in a couple of fresh mint leaves. You can add some watermelon pieces to the rim or maybe sugar if thats what you prefer (I doubt it will need it). You can also squeeze some lime juice to your drink as well. This drink is extremely delectable and very easy! So enjoy!
