We’ve all experienced it, the dreadful Monday. I love to hear some people look at the beginning of the week as an exciting embark. I, on the other hand, am not one of those people. I like to fake it ’til i make it. I tend to get the blues come Sunday evening and then push myself to be positive. Don’t wait until the weekend to treat yourself or indulge in sweet things. Here are Five ways to kick start your day/week!
1. Go back to one of your favorite quotes and pull inspiration from there. For example, think like Cecil Beaton and “Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.” Take charge of how you will be different from what makes you be in a slump. Encourage yourself to get out of your comfort zone.
3. Instead of having your lunch or dinner first, just go for a tasty cupcake or eclair. One of my motto’s is “Life is short. Eat dessert first.” Why not do things in an unorthodox way sometimes? Note: If you’re not a dessert person, here are 25 snacks that are energy boosters.
4. Try meditation for 5 to 10 minutes. Here is a list of ways to meditate.
5. Call up a relative or old friend to reunite and have a chat. See what they’ve been up to. I’m sure it will put a smile on their face and make you feel good about things.
Bonus! Write out a realistic to-do list for your day/week to kick start your goals. Try to get those things done by the end of each day.
Have an awesome Monday loves! xoxo (image via)
