Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family and friends, but it’s also a time to get festive and creative. Whether you’re adding a new dish to the menu this year or changing up your decor for your home, I’m sure the excitement is settling in. Some of us are all set and ready to go – while a few of us are still scrambling to get things in order and searching for cute ideas for the Holidays.

Looking for new ways to add style to your Thanksgiving this year? Well follow along for some exceptionally sweet DIYs and easy add ons to your tablescape and dining area for your guests.

goldpumpkin

Gold and metallic tones are so striking when mixed in with Fall florals. If you have some some pumpkins (small, medium, or large) you can spray paint them gold to create a lavish and pretty decor. Pair it with rustic colors, and pine cones like the setting above. (pic via weddingchicks.com)

Now here is a super easy way to provide your guests with a welcoming name card for their seat. You know those leaves outside or in your backyard, grab a few of them and spray paint them gold, white, or whatever color you desire and add their name with some fancy calligraphy for a beautiful effect. feather-place-setting

It’s something exotic and eye-catehing about feathers on a table setting. Another easy throw-in for your decor would be this simple feather included in your napkin ring holder. This doesn’t require much effort and is also an affordable way to add style. (pic via)

So we have all heard of wreaths and typically expect to see them hang on one’s door for a warm welcome. Well we should also show some love to the festive garlands, and their versatility. I am really digging the eucalyptus garlands on this wall. What a minimally chic way to bring greenery into your room all while making a statement. A simple way to get your Thanksgiving ready is with candles and a table cover. If you want to switch it up this year, grab a brown or tan paper cover and get artsy with some table setting drawing. A center piece of white candles in various shapes and heights with a little greenery will make it more stylish. (image via lemonthistle.com)
