Success Style is a journey, not a destination”
Greetings from Taliah
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a steady fashion lover. Fashion Was Here was launched in 2006 to be a style source for women all across the globe. As the sole writer and visionary at FWH, I personally feel the modern woman who wakes up everyday wants to be inspired and motivated to be the best version of her. I aim to make this site a one stop shop for all things with flair and flavor. Yes, flavor – figuratively and literally – so be prepared to find anything from food recipes to delectable desserts and whatever in between to make a whole scrumptious entree with tasty sides.
After graduating from college with a degree in fashion merchandising, and taking up an internship at W magazine, I didn’t quite make it into the fashion world. Instead, I went into the higher education sector, but still finding myself with an itching desire to be a creative soul. After learning about blogging eons ago, I decided to make my mark in the digital world hence the title “Fashion Was Here.” Not realizing how huge blogging would be, I initially used this platform as a hobby up until a couple of years ago, where I now look at it as my brand, business, and most importantly “my baby.” It’s a breath of fresh air and strong sense of independence doing it my way and learning my strengths and weaknesses as I take this journey. Currently living in Baltimore aka Charm City, I have a passion for traveling and cultivating my mind, body, and soul. My penchant and affinity for vintage, glam, cuisine, parisian-inspired things, travel, female empowerment, beauty, make up, and health & wellness has all been balled up into what you see on this blog. From my personal style to street style to affordable shopping with a hint of splurge-worthy items, these are mainly my go-to topics I love to share with my readers. So I hope you stick around and enjoy what I have to offer. Thanks for supporting!
xx Taliah Ferguson
